Search Engine Submission

Search Engine Submission

Most of it will come from the few major search engines out there. We want to make sure your website is found not just in the major engines of today, but also in the engines of tomorrow.

Directory Submission

Any complete SEO services will need to submit your website to at least one directory - DMOZ. Also known as the Open Directory Project, this directory listing provides all its data to other search engines and directories.

A quick warning – SEM Lead's submission process is timed to optimally suit the search engines needs. A common error that many website operators make is to separately submit their website to the search engines, (sometimes on a daily basis), and not only use an SEO services, but also to sign up for "free" submission tools. This is understandable as everyone is anxious to see results quickly. However, over-submitting your site can be counterproductive and in most cases detrimental to your website's profile in the search engines. Most search engines treat over-submission as a form of spam.

If you are using SEO services, your website should automatically be submitted to the search engines as part of the process.

Once your web site is submitted, it is put into a queue. When it's turn comes, the search engine sends a "spider", or "bot" to read and document your site.

The spider documents everything it can discern about your site. It also examines how many other websites are linking to and from you. All the data that is found and extracted by the spider is processed by the indexer and stored in a database. From the database, the search software extracts documents based on parameters entered by the user.
